7-year Musical School of National Instruments was established by H.Igitian in 1982.

At the same time "Tkzar" ancient folk music ensemble was founded.

Musicians of this ensemble are currently teaching in the school.

This school up to now is a unique one in the republic.

In contrast to other schools where it takes 5 years to master national folk instruments of choice at the Department of folk instruments in this school it takes 7 years to complete education.
