Fine Arts and Decorative Applied Arts Studio-College

Fine Arts and Decorative Applied Arts Studio-College at the National Center of Aesthetics is one of the main links of the Center. During its history (since 1980) Studio-College having the necessary structural changes due to nowadays requirements, today is represented as an educational-creative system that include the following subdivisions:

1. Studio part (including 11 professional studios)

  • Embroidery
  • Batiks (silk painting)
  • Painting
  • Ceramics and decorative applied arts
  • Carpets and tapestries
  • Printmaking
  • Wood carving
  • Metal design
  • Sculpture
  • Origami
  • New Technologies

3. High Educational system in cooperation with Armenian Open University, Department of Fine Arts (BA in Art Knowledge)

This educational system gives an opportunity for children and teenagers to continue their professional education in college and high educational system.

During past 30 years studio has organized over 60 international exhibitions, fulfilled diverse projects that have been exhibited both in Armenia: Children’s Gallery, different cultural centers, contests, collaborative projects with NGOs, etc and abroad: France, Russian Federation, Belgium, USA, Ukraine, England, Austria, Germany, etc.

Studio- College always gives the priority to active creative process, innovative position of teachers and children’s aesthetical education.

The significant are collaborative work and projects that carry out occupational and disciplinary characters.
